Cookie Fu Grand Master Moves
Light Crispy Strike
"The speed and precision of this attack injures all but only the most guarded of opponents. Strike first, strike fast, and your opponent will have to expend precious blocks to negate this simple but effective move."
This one is good at forcing your opponent's hand. Make him spend those blocks on this simple move and he'll be defenseless against any throws you might have. Additionally, this is a good one to tack on after your opponent has attacked and used most of his dice. Definitely use after he's blocked some of your other attacks.
350 Degree Kick
"Show your opponent the heat of the oven! As the temperature rises, if he is unable to foil the move during preheating, he will surely succumb to the final baking."
Another good one to hold until the end of the round. Chances are, your opponent's already spent his blocks and grabs for other moves. Remember though young warrior, if this move is negated, it yields no damage.
Baked Cookie Evasion
"You can count on this move for a reliable defense against physical attacks. If the fortunes of fate favor you, your skill at avoiding attacks will be heightened."
Save this one for multiple attacks, as there's a chance you'll get an extra block from the result. If you're in a bind and need a quick block, don't hesitate to use it though. If you can take the damage from your opponent's attack, you're better off using the chi for something else.
Crunchy Treat Grasp
"A child's grip on a crunchy cookie is far more stronger than one would imagine. Remember your youth and you shall unlock the secrets of this maneuver, for it is this spirit that will overpower your enemies."
A nice combo starter for only one chi. Be aware you must add throw(s) to the move for it to work. You can add additional grabs for added crunch. Show them what it's like to try and take your cookie.
Ancient Golden Throw
"The best recipes are handed down from generation to generation. Follow the steps correctly and the results will be very tasty indeed."
Higher level fighters (6+ dice) often employ this move in conjunction with the crunchy treat grasp for truly devastating results. A nice move for the beginning Fu Fighter, stackable with good results. One of the author's personal favorites.
Twice Folded Slam
"An opponent is like un-kneeded dough, it yearns to be beaten. With this move, he will break within no time."
Similar to the 350 degree kick, this move provides a nice one two punch if your opponent cannot counter it. Since it is an expert move, to counter it will be harder - thus making it easier for you to strike effectively.
Sweet Flaky Kick
"Sometimes the most delicate things can strike the hardest. Your enemies will be deceived by thin layers that mask it's true strength."
Starting off as a simple kick, it can blossom into a 3 point attack. If used effectively at the beginning of the round, your opponent will exhaust all of his dice trying to block it - Thus leaving you with an opening for any remaining dice.
Dodge of Good Fortune
"To be blessed by fortune is a many desired thing by all. To be twice blessed is truly a rare gift of fate indeed."
Need a lot of blocks fast? This move is for you. An easy two blocks with double the possibility for additional blocks, the optimal result being four blocks for two chi. A great deal indeed.
Lucky Inside Grip
"If not mixed properly, cookie dough can be sticky and difficult to work with. It is a true master that uses this stickiness to his advantage."
A simple grab/throw combo hides the true nature of this move. Untrained fighters who just take the damage will soon find themselves at a loss next turn. Best be wise and counter this move if it's used against you, you may regret it later.
Tasty Snack Toss
"To hurl your opponent to the ground is a great feat. To strike him as he's falling is even better."
A good grab setup with twice the chance for combined throws. A tricky move that relies on chance, but statistically you'll deal some damage with this roll regardless. Add to it an ancient golden throw and you've got a real winning combination.
Sugary Nerve Strike
"Knowing where to strike and hold your enemy is key. Sticky fingers make it even easier."
A classic move from the martial arts genre, packing a great punch and paralyzing your opponent somewhat if he does not negate it. A devastating attack with more powerful fighters (6+ dice), a similar move is the lucky inside grip. If used in tandem with this one, your enemy will be rolling less dice than you all the time.
Paper Destiny's Sweep
"Deciphering ancient writings can take a lifetime. Cracking a cookie to read the fortune takes but a moment. During a battle, a moment can seem like a lifetime."
This is another good master move as it's designed to keep your opponent prone and unable to attack effectively. Watch out for those strikes though, just because your opponent is on the ground doesn't mean he can't attack.
Snap-Crack Block
"The shell of an egg can withstand some of the most remarkable of circumstances."
The ultimate move blocker, there's nothing that can crack this wall effectively. Always use it in response to those high powered attacks: sugary nerve strike, sweet flaky kick, twice folded slam, etc. You can keep a cool head on your shoulders with this one, if anything gets through, it'll be a miracle. A costly move, but if you're looking not to get touched during a round this is the one for you.
Brittle Bowed Grab
"Sticky dough on you takes forever to get off. Better to have it stick to someone else."
A re-occuring grab can be your best friend. This move is not only good for this round, but the next two. In essence, your getting two extra dice the next round and an additional one the last. More dice are good, especially if they're for grabs. Best used in high power games.
Hurl of Crumbled Fate
"A careless man crushes the cookie and lets the pieces fall where they may. A careful man chooses where they fall."
One of the most powerful grab/throw combos in the game. It is unlikely that your opponent will defend against it unless he has a grab/grab/block result or some sort of chi moves. Assured damage all the way around, if it succeeds that is. Higher fighters often employ this move with the brittle bowed grab. On the second round, a four point grab is something very hard to defend against.
Chocolate Kick
"The spice of cocoa stimulates the senses and brings clarity to the wise."
A very good vesatile move, providing kick results and the ability to block an opponent's kicks with yours. Use in response to kick attacks from you enemy, thus saving yourself and doing damage in the same turn. A very good move indeed.
Citrus Fist
"The squeeze of citrus can blind one who is looking somewhere else."
The downfall of snap-crack block, this attack is not what your opponent expects. One looking to negate everything with a block should be extremely wary of this move as it can destroy his defenses easily. A nice powerful attack to boot.
Vanilla Defense
"The vanilla bean is like the reed, able to bend without breaking."
A superior blocker against kicks and strikes only. Perfect against that pesky sugary nerve strike and others of the like. Bear in mind that this defensive move cannot be used in conjunction with a grab/block combo, it's somewhat limited in that respect.
Strawberry Slam
"A single strawberry is small and unassuming, but when thousands come crashing down on you it's a different story."
Medium moves are somewhat hard to find. The strawberry slam changes all that, for it delivers a medium power grab/throw combo for a medium chi cost. A nice move, able to be stacked with additional grabs/throws and it smells great too.
